SlowMart began with a simple intention: to slow down and notice what is often overlooked.

Founded in Singapore by illustrator Vivian, also known as V or Vivi, SlowMart started in 2013 with handmade postcards created to pair with local stamps. What began as a quiet personal hobby gradually grew into a gentle creative space centered around illustration, storytelling, and thoughtful design.

SlowMart, or 慢選 (“Slow Selection”), embraces a slower and more intentional way of creating. Inspired by quiet moments at home, nostalgic memories, stationery, and handwritten letters, SlowMart hopes to bring warmth and calmness into the little moments of daily life.

The girl character often seen throughout the illustrations quietly reflects pieces of my own journey woven with dreams, daily adventures, and the beauty found in slowing down and noticing the present.

At SlowMart, each item is thoughtfully produced in small batches, encouraging mindful consumption, emotional connection, and a deeper appreciation for everyday objects made to be treasured over time. Subtle variations and natural imperfections are embraced as part of their story, a reminders of the human touch behind each piece and the beauty of handcrafted work.
